Mani Ratnam's Kadali movie has geared up for a grand release today. AR Rahman musical has got high expectations from the public given its Mani Ratnam's movie. The sources close to the film unit have said that Kadali revolves around problems being faced by fishermen community. Also, there's a beautiful love story woven. The credit obviously goes to Mani Ratnam for his script and direction, and nonetheless to AR Rahman for touching the emotional chords of people with his melodious music.

Although Kadali movie is getting released, there's not much buzz on the film. Lack of timely publicity could be one of the reasons. Prasad, the movie is scheduled for a release from tomorrow in theaters.

Music scores composed by J.V. Prakash Kumar are already a highlight. Kriti Karbanda is playing Ram’s love interest in the film. Apart from the perfect on screen combination of the hero and heroine and the songs, it has come to our knowledge that the treatment of the story itself will entertain the audience. Kamal gets support from across the nation

Viswaroopam has earned Dr Kamal Haasan more sympathy than dollars. The film released elsewhere failed to hit the theaters in Tamil Nadu where it was primarily was targeted to. The trilingual flick is made in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi. While the Telugu and Tamil were released on January 25, except in Tamil Nadu. The Hindi version Viswaroop is releasing this Friday.

However the Tamil audience were deprived of the entertainment as some Muslim associations approached the government seeking its ban. The release was incidentally deferred by two weeks. Things are looking positive with the state government urging the actor cum filmmaker cum producer to settle it amicably with the agitating groups.

Kamal has garnered support from all quarters. While in Tamil Nadu many of his fans gathered in large numbers and shouted slogans against the government. Many global fans went online and poured their anguish on the social networking sites.

Even the union defense minister Susheel Kumar Shinde felt that every artiste must be given space to express their feelings in democratic India.

Long time associate and another superstar Rajinikanth openly supported the filmmaker. He said that Kamal never harms anyone with words or deeds. Even Bhartahi Raja voiced his concern for the star.

Kadali preview: Get ready to feel music of love 

Mani Ratnam's much awaited movie, Kadali is going to be released tomorrow across the globe. Expectations are high from this movie given it's being directed by Mani Ratnam, who has n number of amazing hits under his belt. Kadali is said to revolve around fishermen who apparently get trapped in waters of neighbouring country and the problems being faced by them. In the midst of these problems, a beautiful love story was carefully woven by Mani Ratnam and A R Rahman's music literally pumps one's heart faster and feel the love that blossoms between the wonderful characters beautifully etched by Ratnam saab.

Already Gunjukunna song and other songs of the movie have received overwhelming response. Therefore, people who love music and usually don't like movies are also most likely to throng to theatres for pampering their ears and feeling the music of love. The much awaited movie of actor Ram, Ongole Gitta is all set to hit screens tomorrow. Directed by Bommarillu Bhaskar, Ongole Gitta is said to be an out and out mass movie unlike other pictures directed by Bhaskar. In fact, the story line is something different in Ongole Gitta. The sources said that it was due to the same impressive content that Ram said no to Yeto Vellipoyindi Manasu and nodded for this project.

Initially, the project faced too many hiccups with the lead actress Shubha Phutela falling sick after a couple of days of shooting at Guntur mirchi yard. Later, she was out of project and Kriti Kharbanda came into that position. So, many scenes were shot again, which resulted in the delay of the movie. Fans of Kamal Haasan said that they encouraged Shruti Haasan, respected and watched her movies primarily not because of her beauty or acting but only because she was the daughter of Kamal Haasan. Vishwarroopam issue: Why Kamal says no appeal?

Vishwaroopam issue is looming large for quite sometime. While universal star, Kamal Haasan was deeply hurt by the alleged moves of Tamil Nadu Government opposing the release of the movie, the others kept their fingers and toes crossed to know whether Kamal would move the apex court. Putting aside the apprehensions, Mr Kamal Haasan made it clear that he had no motives to approach the Supreme Court of India. There's no clue as to why Kamal is not willing to knock the doors of highest appellate authority. The sources, however, said that Kamal Haasan might have got some signals that Tamil Nadu Government would withdraw its decision to put a ban on the release of his Vishwaroopam movie, which has been released in other parts of the country and received overwhelming response.

An emotional Kamal Haasan, who held a press meet yesterday, broke into tears and said he would have to self exile from the country if he doesn't find a secure place here. Moved by the statements, the union home minister Sushil Kumar Shinde came in rescue of the actor in the form of supporting words. Mr Shinde, while referring to Vishwaroopam issue and Kamal Haasan, said that artistes do have freedom of speech and expression. It looks like Centre itself plunged into action to ask Tamil Nadu Government to life ban on Vishwaroopam. Will Jaya sarkar withdraw the ban call on the movie? A million dollar question for sure, but let us hope for the best!

Many a times vengeance and hatred could be expressed in different ways, but the ultimate result would be destruction and that is what has happened to versatile Kamal Haasan.  The actor cum filmmaker cum producer had invested his last rupee in his massive venture 'Viswaroopam.'

But some force has been acting against the film and the film is already running into loses with the release of the film for which it was mainly meant for being differed for about two weeks in the wake of protests from Muslim organizations.

Who has used this as vehicle to destruct the veteran star is anyone's guess.  But one that is popular around in Tamil Nadu where the film is yet to  be accepted is that a political intolerance has created the hurdles for this global personality.

It is since years that a top leader in Tamil Nadu and the union minister P Chidambaram were cold faced towards each other.

Recently at the P. Chidambaram Book Launch Function held at Kamarajar Arangam, Teynampet, Chennai, many celebrities donned the dais including Superstars Rajinikanth, Kamal Hassan and DMK supremo M Karunanidhi.

Here the seeds of ire was sown which has led to the delay or destruction of a genuine celebrity, claim sources.

At the event, Kamal was praising the union minister to the core and even went on to say that he had the material of being the PM, while wishing him of the same.

The same issue was endorsed by the DMK patriarch and Superstar Rajinikanth as well. All this must have been humiliating to the political leader who was waiting for an opportunity to strike. With this ulterior move the film had been delayed which led to a huge financial losses of the superstar Kamal haasan, claim speculations.

SVSC delivers what one aspires in reality! 

 

 

Sethamma Vakitlo Sirimalli Chettu (SVSC) rides high on emotions and human values. This is what we have been, time and again writing in our film columns but today for a change let us have a look at how certain subtle messages had been delivered during the course of narration.

In the second half, Kota Srinivasarao meets injured Prakash Raj (Relangi Mavayya) and expresses that the boy he saved from the accident was his brother's son. He said that many a times he had tried disregarding Relangi Mavayya, in the company of the Rao Ramesh (heroine's father). However on that day realized that it is more important to be nice than anything else. Our busy lives have no room for our own family and where do we have time for others. But if we could adapt, then life is filled with enormous joy.

Rao Ramesh in the end realizes that Prakash Raj and family had emerged far superiors than he ever imagined, due to their outstanding service to save people when the celebrations at the Temple were hampered by a short circuit. They even save him in spite of he insulting them several times.   This is another aspect that is mostly neglected by us, we feel what could we do single-handedly. But in reality even huge numbers start with 'ONE.' On another occasion Ramesh says,' common man lives between hopes and fears.' Only when one tides over this feeling will he be successful.

The scene were a groom comes to see Seetha (Anjali) is another magical one. Though she harbors love for her eldest cousin (Venkatesh), she bows to the decision of her uncle whom she revers. But in the process, also prays that her heartthrob calls her as he just comes back from outside. That scene shows how well a family must be. Seetha frequently says ' I feel it will happen' while there are no logic behind it, the incident definitely happens. Then it dawns on us that this simpleton is only innocent but not ignorant. Owing to our concrete assignments and hectic lobbying we have turned deaf to intuitions.  

The brothers Peddodu and Chinnodu (Venaktesh and Mahesh Babu) show profound intimacy which off late is disappearing in our modern society. Our lives have become more self-centered, to such an extent that we fail to look beyond our own family (hubby+wife and kids). Whereas the duo  smile, fight, mourn but only together. Without one another they feel life meaningless.

Lastly the father of the duo reveals the ultimate truth of life, that only goodness remains with each other till the end. We only live once and make this most memorable.  All through the film Prakash Raj does only two things he either smiles or wishes good of the other person. How many people do we come across such people in our day-to day lives.

SVSC is a reel mirror to human psychology but in reality, it is overlapped by human desires, greed and attitude. The film had met tremendous success, as it depicts what we aspire but cannot adhere and would like to see our dream come true at least on the large screen. However even if we muster courage to be our original self we fear that we will be taken for a ride by our own people, who might not accept this conviction. And by the time we start accepting this fact, our 30s turn into 60s and then it makes no difference as to how we are........(Wishesh AarKay)

Nagarjuna to sizzle with Nayantara in Greekuveerudu! 

Handsome Nagarjuna the 'King' of Tollywood is all set to lure Nayantara in his latest flick 'Greekuveerudu.' The film is to be directed by Dasarath and music would be rendered by Taman. It would be a love-family entertainer.

Nagarjuna who deviated from his lover boy image in Shirdi Sai  and Dhamurukam is getting back into the groove with this love story.

However this was the title of an earlier film, but the crew have registered the name forgetting the massive row that was raised when Dhamarukam was ready for release.

'Greekuveerudu,' on the same title a song was recorded earlier in a Nag's film (Ninne Pelladutha) which was a rage among the youth, then.

Naayak Vs SVSC

Naayak vs SVSC - what is your vote? 

 

 

This Sankranthi, entertainment gambit is filled with two diverse films that are sure to keep fans awestruck. Though the collections are to be high on account of festive season, the real fate could be visible by next week end. Both films have their merits and demerits that could play as trump cards in succeeding. Well the fiercely competing films are Naayak and Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalli Chettu (SVSC)

Naayak is an action entertainer, while SVSC is a family entertainer. Violence runs high in Naayak, AP Censor board has issued a 'A' certificate to the film. While the former has been issued 'U'. Naayak has an youth appeal while SVSC has  family appeal. Will action take over family fare, is sure to be interesting tussle to watch. On the whole, both films have garnered excellent openings and by the end of this week their production costs would have been recovered. The rest is profits and records, that shall rewrite the box office statistics.

Naayak staring 'Mega Power Star' Ram Charan Tej, Kajal Agarwal and Amala Paul released on Thursday and today is the third day. The story revolves around a software techie, Cherry, once Siddharth Naik with a violent past. How he overcomes his foes is the best part of the film. Music by  Thaman was hard enough to retain fans in seats. However violence was a bit overdose in this film which is estimated to establish new records at the ticket counter. Filmmaker V V Vinayak has woven the storyline which had all ingredients fit for a masala lunch.

SVSC is a multi-starer flick that hit Tollywood after almost 25 years. Produced  by 'Dil' Raju, the film has two superstars 'Victory' Venkatesh and 'Prince' Mahesh Babu. Pairing them are fresh face Anjali and Tollywood's lucky mascot Samantha Ruth Prabhu. Prakash Raj dons a prominent role as a man who adores relationships and respects human values. As his sons, the heroes follow the footsteps of their father. Music by Mickey J Meyer is heart rendering. The film was short of some extended strips of comedy. However the melodrama and Anjali's love attempts to attract Venkatesh compensates. SVSC is a bedtime light meal with a delicious dessert that aid for a peaceful sleep.

In conclusion, both the films Naayak and SVSC are fiercely competing against each other to retain box office collections even after the festive season. 'Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu' super hit attracts IT dept? 

   'Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu (SVSC),' the multi-starer film after some decades is all set to be a visual treat to the state. The first impression of the film is already shown on the faces of the crew who are celebrating the occasion. However being a producer for such big budget films does not seem all that good, after taking into accounts of what is going around off late.

Income Tax department had raided the offices and residences of SVSC producer Dil Raju and D V V Dhanaiyya who produces another big commercial film 'Nayak. Whereabouts of the raid are yet to be known. But the raids might have been the reactions of the department after the duo produced high budget films.

However the good news is that SVSC released globally on Friday (11 January) has already attracted family audiences who are eagerly booking tickets to enjoy this Sankranti holidays. SVSC is a thorough family entertainer. The elite star cast includes superstar Venkatesh, superstar Mahesh Babu, lucky mascot Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Anjali. (Wishesh AarKay)

Much awaited multi-starrer movie Seethamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu is scheduled for a grand release tomorrow. With Venkatesh and Mahesh Babu coming together and playing the lead roles in the movie, it's evoking solid response from the public. The tickets to SVSC were sold out like hot cakes online and even at box office counters for the next couple of days.

In fact, Seethamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu is going to be screened at IMAX screen too. This itself clearly shows that theatre owners already caught the pulse of the movie freaks. 

Notably, only English movies would be screened at IMAX and there was probably only once or twice wherein Telugu flicks were screened. The cost of IMAX ticket is Rs. 250, which is Rs. 100 extra than the normal multiplexes. Yet, people are showing interest for watching this movie on giant screen.

So, analyzing the ticket sales and theatre owners' moves, it's evident that Seethamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu is going to be released to a grand note. Let us wait and watch how the response from the public will be on the day one.

Ram Charan's Nayak is a hilarious, action entertainer. Charan breaks the jinx and scores another blockbuster with filmmaker V V Vinayak weaving an excellent plot that fits none other than our Mega Power Star. Nayak hits screens on Wednesday (January 09) amidst fanfare and theatres wore a festive look. A wholesome family entertainer that should appeal the class and mass alike. There is something for everyone!

Story: Ram Charan is Cherry, a techie who works as a software engineer and his uncle, Jilebi, is Brahmanandam. Jilebi accidentally hurts the local don Gandipeta Babji (Rahul Dev). Cherry gets into the act of saving his uncle by hatching a plan, but in the process falls for Babji's sister Madhu (Kajal Agarwal).

In the meantime the film takes a serious turn with a series of killings in Hyderabad and Kolkata and Minister Rawat (Pradeep Rawat) is also targeted. Cherry is implicated in the row and goes underground. CBI team lead by Ashish Vidhyardhi tries to track the whereabouts of the hero. In the process a flash back love story emerges in Kolkata, between Amala (Amala Paul) and Cherry.

Now what is the flashback story? Who of the two heroines will be united with Cherry? How will he prove his innocence? And more questions that linger in your minds form the rest of the story, worth seeing on the big screen.

Analysis: Ram Charan was excellent and his voice modulation added to the aesthetics of the film. Kajal Agarwal and Amala Paul were equally gorgeous with better screen space for the former. Brahmanandam is his usual self with a meaty role that should feed his fans with sumptuous hilarious menu. M S Narayana as CBI lipreading specialist tickles the funny bone and takes due credence  in the laugh act. Almost all of them fit the bill on the whole. Songs are entertaining and would leave fans tapping their feet. First half is comedy of a decent genre and second half is action packed with an unexpected turn.

Performance: Ram Charan is awesome in the company of his 'Magadheera lady love,' Kajal Agarwal. The story reminds of various films but all the bits have been knitted well by the versatile director V V Vinayak. Chota K Naidu behind the camera shows what could be the best visual treat. Comedy fare offered by Brahmanandam and M S Narayana is hilarious and unique.  Climax could have been better but on the whole a commendable effort by the team.

SVSC Movie Review SVSC Sensor Tomorrow

 

 Seethamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu is gearing up for a grand release across the globe on January 11. The sources have said that a premier show of SVSC would be screened at Prasad's multiplex in Hyderabad on January 10^th night wherein the ticket price would be Rs.5000. If we put the business thing apart, Seethamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu's final copy is ready. This copy would be sent across to the censor board in Hyderabad for getting clearance and certificate on January 9.

Only when censor board nods for the release of the movie, tickets should be sold. Therefore, by tomorrow evening censor certificate would be out. The sources have said that tickets for SVSC would be issued only from tomorrow night or probably from 10^th morning. It may be noted that Seethamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu has Venkatesh and Mahesh Babu in the lead roles while Anjali and Samantha are playing opposite them respectively.

So, the star cast is another major thing on which producer Dil Raju can bank upon. But them film unit has been telling that storyline of SVSC is outstanding. Anyway, let us keep our fingers crossed to know whether SVSC can live up to the expectations of the audience.
