Nitya Menon has many plus points. She is cute, she acts well, she can dub for herself, she can sing and also she is bold to say what she thinks. Sometimes the last characteristic might have made her face controversy but people understand when a true statement is made.

Some time ago she asked who Prabhas is. It caused protest from the fans of Prabhas. She was called arrogant. But later Prabhas sent her CDs of some of his Movies to Nitya and talked to her over phone that cooled the issue to subside.  Nitya new to Telugu cinema was really not aware of Prabhas and it was not her mistake.  If someone asks whether she was acting with Prabhas whom she didn’t know, it is quite natural to question back who is Prabhas.

Again another recent statement of Nitya made her controversial.  When some film makers approached her to act opposite a senior actor she refused the offer for which she has all the rights apart from reasons.  She says that she has two reasons for not accepting senior heroes.

Number one is Nitya feels that the senior heroes get major exposure leaving small screen space and importance to the heroines. It is her opinion or observation for which no one can object as she has to look after her career the way others do.

Second one is an interesting reason which is also a bold statement from someone like Nitya. She says that the chemistry doesn’t work out with senior actors. Heroines are also human beings. They are not robots to act in intimate scenes with someone they don’t like. Although all that is acting, personal choices cannot be ruled out. She needs a good feel when she acts with an actor which is a natural demand and should not be criticized for that.

But unfortunately her declaration in the media that she will not act with senior actors was misunderstood! She has all the liberty in the world to romance with a man of her choice even if it is in camera and for a price!
