Mallika Booked For Disrespecting Flag

Bollywood actress Mallika Sherawat
has been booked for disrespecting the national flag from her upcoming
movie 'Dirty Politics.' The Hyderabad Police have filed a case under
Prevention of Insults to National Honour Act, 1971 as two citizens had
filed a petition in the court, seeking direction to the police to book
the actress for insulting the national flag.
The High
court has sent notice to Mallika Sherawat and Central government over
this issue last week and fresh orders were passed to the police to file a
case. The petitioners claimed that Mallika's act of using national flag
is an insult to the India's honour and the state emblem of India has
been used for cheap publicity.
