Gunasekhar Is A 3D Certified Maker

Director Gunasekhar is all over the headlines for the past couple of days as the shooting of his most ambitious project 'Rudhramadevi' film has come to end. The film is India's first historical stereoscopic 3D film and Gunasekhar has put his heart and soul on Rudhramadevi to make it a celluloid wonder.

But we have an interesting news about director Gunasekhar and it is, the maker did a 6 months crash course in the very popular London Film Institute to learn about the new-age 3D format before the launch of Rudhramdevi. The duration of the course is 18 month but impressed by his direction skills and given the amount of experience, the London Film Institute accepted to offer certificate to Gunasekhar in just 6 months. So we can say, Gunasekhar is an authorized filmmaker to make stereoscopic 3D films.

Well, that's what you call 'passion' and dedication towards your profession. Kudos Gunasekhar!!!

Innovative director Gunasekhar's ambitious upcoming film 'Rudhramadevi' has completed its shooting and busy with post-production work. On this occasion the makers have released a press statement signifying the shooting experience of the film.

Director Gunasekhar said, “the thought of Rudhramadevi film popped up in the year 2002 and by 2012 the script work was done. We started the movie in February 2013 and on September 4th 2014, the shooting of Rudhramadevi has come to end. The post-production works have already begun and would take at least three months time to bring the best product.”

“The film is made on grand scale and proudly we announce Rudhramadevi is India's first historical stereoscopic 3D film. It will be a visual feast and the action episodes are major highlight in this film. I would like to thank all the artists, technicians, workers who have worked so hard and gave their best to this film. We are planning to release the film in December and theatre owners across the state are approaching me regarding the screening of the film. They are willing to take necessary steps to screen a 3D film in their theatre,” added Gunasekhar.

Rudhramadevi has Anushka playing the title role while Rana, Allu Arjun, Nitya Menon, Suman, Krishnam Raju and Prakash Raj will be seen in vital roles.

As we all know Allu Arjun is playing a special role in director Gunasekhar's prestigious project Rudhramadevi, the latest information we have is, Bunny has completed his portion of shooting. Gunasekhar has revealed this news through a press statement and added that Allu Arjun has performed some amazing stunts.

“Bunny’s character has come out well and he completed his portion of shooting. He performed some daredevil stunts without strings which are highly risky.  This schedule of shooting will continue as per the plan and will near completion. Coming to Bunny’s character, it will definitely appeal to the mass audience and has lot of commercial elements,” said Gunasekhar.

However, Gunasekhar remained silent when asked about trailer or teaser release of the film. Looks like, Guna wants to surprise the audience on the silverscreen.

Period films created on a large scale call for heavy jewelry. Gunasekhar's new movie Rudramadevi has enough glitter and maybe more. The film's main protagonist, played by Anushka, is believed to be presented with a display of fine jewels worth nearly Rs5crores. This will set a new milestone to the director's list of grand displays. Gunasekhar had previously invested liberally for the beautiful sets of Okkadu and Arjun, both starring Mahesh Babu.

Eminent designer Neeta Lulla is creating the look for this latest period film using real gold and diamonds. Makers of Rudramadevi believe that Anushka's jewelry will surpass the grandeur of Ashutosh Gowarikar's Jodha Akbar, where Aishwarya wore jewels fit for a queen.

While Suman is portrying a negative role in the film, stars including Prakash Raj, Rana, Krishnam Raju, Brazilian model Nathalia Kaur and Zara Shah are also part of the cast. Soulful composer Ilayaraja has contributed his talents to the film's music.

Anushka's Rudramadevi movie is playing the title role is shooting for the last 30 days on the heavy sets of made at Gopanapalli, Hyderabad where a large arena set was made. 

Gunasekhar is producing the movie under Guna Teamworks banner under his own direction. As revealed by the unit, two songs are filmed on the heavy sets of arena in addition to some scenes related to the movie. One of the songs is written by Sirivennela Sitarama Sastry that was filmed with hundreds of dancers and extra artists in a grand way. Another song was filmed on Aushka in the scene of Rani Rudrama’s enthroning ceremony.

Two more action scenes were also filmed in that specially made sets in which Anushka said to have acted without dupe.

Gunasekhar who took the project as a prestigious one is making all efforts to make the first ever stereoscopic film in India a grand success and for that he is not compromising anywhere.
The location of the present heavy sets for Rudramadevi was once used for the Charminar set made for Mahesh acted ‘Okkadu’ movie. Gunasekhar is getting more heavy sets made at Annapurna Studios for 1000 pillars temple and Ranga Mandapam.

The unit is expecting to complete the film shooting by December in a total of 5 schedules. The present one is the first schedule which will go on for ten days more.
