(AW: Vamshi)
In a
new twist in the tale of Salman Khan's hit and run case, the Mumbai
Police told the court that a original statements and documents related
to the case are missing. On Thursday when the court assembled for the
further proceedings in the case, the public prosecutor reported to the
Judge that vital documents could not be found.
The Court
was serious and upset with the Mumbai Police and summoned the former
Investigation Officer [IO] to appear before it on September 12th. The
Court also ordered the prosecutor to find the documents within a month
of time. The police have 63 documents in relation with the hit and run
case. Out of the 63, 7 documents are missing.
The Kick
hero's car had run over a group of people sleeping on a pavement in
Bandra, killing one person and injuring four others in an accident,
twelve years ago. Salman was charged with a culpable homicide not
amounting to murder that is liable for a 10-year sentence. The missing
of documents came like a shock while the victims blame that the police
have come to an understanding with Salman and are wantedly pretending as
if the documents were lost.
