Sekhar Kammula's Anaamika First look

Sensible director Sekhar Kammula's upcoming movie Anaamika has unveiled its first look. Anamika is the remake of Bollywood flick Kahaani and features Nayanatara in the lead role. Godava hero Vaibhav Reddy and Harshavardhan Rane are playing important role in this suspense thriller movie.

After Life is Beautiful disappointment, Sekhar is desperate to score a hit and so accordingly has planned for Anaamika movie with utmost care. The movie is simultaneously shot in Tamil and Telugu while Bollywood company Viacom 18 Motion Pictures are producing the movie. MM Keeravani is composing music for this film.

Minugurulu film wins Best Indian Film award

Minugurulu, a feel good Telugu film has won the Best Indian Film award at the 9th India-International Children's Film Festival held in Bangalore from 20th to 24th January 2014. Minugurulu movie is all about struggle of visually challenged kids and got released on January 24th .

The movie stars Suhasini and Ashish Vidyarthi in the prominent roles. The movie met with good reviews being an art film and hailed by the critics. Ayodhya Kumar Krishnamsetty produced and directed this movie on Respect Creations banner.

TFI called for Bandh Tomorrow

In the wake of Legendary actor Akkineni Nageswara Rao's demise, the Telugu Film Industry has called for a complete shut down tomorrow. Movie Artists Association (MAA) chairman Murali Mohan has appealed to the all unions in the industry to participate in this bandh. Murali Mohan also requested the theaters to stopping screening of films for tomorrow.

Meanwhile Information and Public Relations Minister DK Aruna has said the government will be assisting in the funeral activities of ANR. Nagarjuna and the rest of the family are undecided about the funeral as public and celebrities are pouring down at Annapoorna Studios since morning.

ANR was healthy yesterday: Nagarjuna

Actor Akkineni Nagarjuna said Akkineni Nageswara Rao was doing absolutely fine yesterday who later died in the midnight. Speaking to the media, Nagarjuna said, “My father was recovering well from the surgery. He was absolutely fine on Tuesday evening and spent time with all our family members.”

Nagarjuna requested all the fans to come down to Annapoorna studios to pay last respects to his body and ANR will be cremated in Erragadda crematorium tomorrow.

When any person talks about Telugu Film Industry, only two actors strike in our mind firstly. They are Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao and Akkineni Nageswara Rao. The Tollywood suffered a huge loss with NTR's demise in the year 1996 and now the Telugu Kalamathalli has become blind with ANR's death.

With over 74 years of experience in the Industry, ANR held his nerve, loved his characters and there was no role he donned in films. Being an atheist, ANR was most popular for his devotee roles in various films. Devadasu and Premnagar are the epic Tollywood movies with love tragedy angle. Premabhishekam movie ran for 533 days in Hyderabad city and still holds the record of a continuous run by any movie in Telugu.

Keeping aside his filmy career, ANR is always a controversy free man and never in his life or filmy career he got involved in an issue. His discipline and dedication are the only two reason for his huge fan following. ANR had profound understanding of the business requirements of film industry and so he ventured into production. ANR established Annapoorna Studios banner and its is one of the oldest production houses of TFI. ANR shares special bond with NTR. He was invited into politics by NTR but he rejected the offer and was confined to films.

Currently ANR was doing a film with his son Nagarjuna and grandson Naga Chaitanya titled Manam. He wrapped his part of shooting and was taking care rest after undergoing a major surgery. On October 19, 2013 ANR held a press meet and conveyed the message about his cancer. He wished to live for 100 years with the blessings of fans but unfortunately it did not happen.

Having such an amazing personality in our Telugu Cinema is something we all should be proud of. He is a priceless necklace for the goddess of Fine Arts.
