The much awaited film of Siddharth, Jabardasth has been released across the state today. As expected, the film opened to good response across the state except in Hyderabad. Many people were reported to be not turning up to theatres due to bomb blasts in Hyderabad. Directed by Nandini Reddy, who gave Ala Modalaindi movie, to the audience, has come before the public with complete entertainer Jabardasth.

Siddharth and Samantha Ruth Prabhu, for the first time, is appearing opposite Siddharth in this movie. When asked Nandini Reddy when this movie is romantic flick, she said Jabardasht is a comedy flick with a short romantic track. 'Ala modalaindi' fame director Nandini Reddy is back with another love entertainer. She has chosen Siddarth and Samantha and made a 'Jabardast' film with this pair. The movie is being produced by Bellamkonda Suresh and Ganesh Babu. The movie is scheduled for a release on this 22nd. As such, the audio scores composed by Thaman, released in the market are creating much hype about the film. The songs are very much in sync with the target audience, so will be the film, according to some close sources.

It has been close to a year, the regular shoot of the film went on location. Shadow Release Likely To Be Postponed

Venkatesh starrer Shadow movie, which was scheduled for a grand release sometime in January on the eve of Sankranti. But it was reported that Venkatesh wanted to push the movie release into pipeline for sometime since he was keen to see SVSC released for Sankranti. The next expected release of Shadow was March 28. But, now it looks like Shadow is not going to be released even on this date. If buzz is to be believed, Shadow is likely to hit theatres only in April.

There's, however, no official confirmation on the same so far. Directed by Meher Ramesh and produced by Paruchuri Kireeti, Shadow is said to be one of the costliest movies in Venkatesh's career. In fact, Venkatesh is playing a mafia don in this movie.

Iddarammailathos Shooting At World Heritage

Noted director Puri Jagannadh's Iddarmmailatho shooting has been going on in full swing. The director has already left overseas where the shooting kick started sometime back. If buzz is to be believed, shooting is currently being held at Barcelona. The team, which pictured some exotic locations and shot some scenes at a noted cathedral, has now apparently got permission to shoot at a concert hall, which has been recognized by UNESCO as the world heritage site.

Although many musical shows were hosted here earlier, this happens to be the first of its kind that Telugu film will be shot here. Bandla Ganesh, the producer of this film was no said to be saying no compromise on production values because to book this concert hall for a commercial film will presumably not be a low cost affair. Anyway, fans of Allu Arjun, who is going to play lead role in the movie are all excited to watch this movie. After Julayi, it looks like, Allu Arjun will have another hit under his belt with Iddarammailatho. Let us hope for the best!

Lucky Jodi Teams Up Again

NTR-Samantha have teamed up again to share screen space and enthrall the audience yet another time. The new project by Santosh Srinivas (who directed Kandireega movie) is being produced by noted producer Bellamkonda Suresh. The inaugural shot of the movie was held today this morning. Noted director VV Vinayak, who was at the function, has given the first clap to the movie.

Christened Rabhasa, this movie's subject is not revealed by the film unit but sources close to film industry has said that this movie would be an action entertainer with loads of comedy episodes. The sources even said that the chances of film unit opting a new title are high. In fact, there were many movies earlier whose title changed at the last minute. For instance, the initial title fixed for Prabhas Mirchi was Varadhi.

On the other hand, his Telugu films with B-Wood imports also bombed at the box office. 'Raja Kumarudu' with Preety Zinta, 'Vamsi' with Namrata, 'Takkari Donga' with Bipasha, 'Naani' with Ameesha Patel  and 'Athidi' with Amritha Rao were major setbacks in his career graph.

Many argue that his films with imports like Illeana (Pokiri) and Sonali Bendre (Murari) were sensational hits. But if the ratio is taken, then failures exceed. Under these conditions, is it worth to embark on new projects with B Town imports, is a question haunting well-wishers.

His next three films are with Sonakshi Sinha in 'Shivam,' Sukumar's film with Kriti Sanon and with Sonam Kapoor in Srinu Vytla's film 'Agadu.' South siren Kajal Agarwal is on cloud nine with super hits in Telugu and Tamil. Her 'Naayak' with Mega Power Star Ram Charan grossed nearly 50 crores while her 'Thuppakki' with Superstar Vijay earned Rs 100 crores. All this had put her on the limelight radar. During a recent promotion event in Hyderabad for her upcoming Hindi film, 'Special Chabbis,' Kajal was over energetic for the crew obliging her to list the city on the publicity almanac.

Overwhelmed with their presence, the actress tried to do a balancing act where she failed miserably. In her anxiety the successful actress claimed that while the Tollywood gave importance to heroines, the Kollywood treated the Heroes as Gods. This statement was read too much between the lines by the vernacular media and they protested in writing over the issue.

Some of them even wanted the film fraternity to impose a ban on the actress in Kollywood. As usual Kajal made a u-turn of her statements and she said that she meant no harm to either Woods. She added that all the Woods including Bollywood were like one family and she was the member of this national family.

The Telugu Warriors Dominate Bengal Tigers counterparts in all the departments. Bengal which bated first could just make 68 runs in the stipulated twenty overs after losing all the wickets.

In an yet another match in the Veer Marathi played against the Karnataka Bulldozers at the same venue earlier. Karnataka won the match and claimed two points.

Telugu Warriors would play against the Mumbai Heroes at Hyderabad next Sunday (Feb 17). Cricket and Cinema are two passions of this nation. Looks like Ileana is keen in shaping up her career in B - Town and South films are a last priority for this actress...

 

Item Songs Banned

ITEM SONGS banned on TV by Censor Board

After the outrageous Delhi gang-rape incident and public reaction to the same, the censor board has decided to make its standards for certification of item songs meant for telecast on TV more stringent. The so-called "item songs" in films can no longer be shown on television. The government has decided that all such songs will now be rated as adult content and item songs banned from being shown on television channels.

"The certification for songs is granted before the certification of the entire film. We have informed the I&B ministry that songs, which the board classifies a 'A' should not be allowed to be telecast on TV," said Pankaj Sharma, spokesperson Central Board of Film Certification.

The Central Board of Film Certification, or the Censor Board, has told the government that instructions in this regard have already been sent to all its regional offices and everyone else involved in certification of films to give 'A' (adult) rating to such songs. "These songs, thus, would not be allowed to be telecast on television as only (a maximum of) 'UA' rated content is allowed on television," said the Censor Board.

The move is part of the efforts to check vulgarity and obscenity in television serials and cinema. "Item songs are essentially adult content. We ourselves do not define what an item song is, but what we mean is that all those songs which are meant for adult consumption, either because of their lyrics or because of visuals, should be given adult certification," CEO of Censor Board said.

The board has also decided to act tough on songs and scenes in which "any kind of direct or indirect violence is shown against women". It will recommend deletion of such scenes or songs, and will not allow these even in A-rated films.

 

Mirchi Hits Theatres

Prabhas starrer Mirchi has finally hit the theatres today. While in many parts of the state and in general theatres, the morning show is going to begin at 11 am, the show started at 9 am itself at some multiplexes in Hyderabad while 10 am at some other multiplexes. Expectations are real high from this movie given it's Prabhas movie wherein the actor is appearing as a posh guy who pursues his education at foreign countries.

Anushka and Richa Gangopadhyay are playing female leads in the movie. There seems to be enough violence in the movie but then not to ignore the sufficient family entertainment and values, that has apparently even made family audience throng theatres. Kajal Prefers Tollywood

Commenting on film industries and later correcting the statements is nothing new especially to some heroines. Earlier it was Ileana, who said southern industry like plump heroines, and now Kajal Agarwal who reportedly made unwanted comments on Tamil film industry. Whether it's Tamil industry or Telugu or whatever, a true artiste should have respect for any industry because it's all about not just bread and butter but art.

Wonder what Kajal Agarwal said? Recently she gave an interview to one of the leading dailies wherein she said that Kajal prefer Tollywood to Kollywood since the latter emphasizes more of heroes and she doesn't care a shit about the same. These words should have been avoided. Anyway, irked by these statements, a few Tamil industry fans have posted threatening statements to her Facebook account after which Kajal said that her she doesn't mean that way and hailed both the film industries. Why to say something, which can be misinterpreted?
