After a successful 2013, Deepika Padukone is all set to ablaze the box office with 'Finding Fanny' this year and promotions of the film are going good. Deepika who a while back said that she wants turn as assistant direct as she is fascinated by every department of film-making, said she has no plans to step into production or direction.

“I have no stories to tell. Also, I don’t have any plans to start my own production house,” told Deepika to the media when asked about her future plans into other departments of filmmaking.  On the other hand, her competitors like Priyanka Chopra and Anushka Sharma have ventured into production, Queen actress Kangana is trying her hands in direction.

A good news to fans and we can see Deepika more in the silverscreen.

After postponing several times, Rajinikanth starrer Kochadaiiyaan (Vikramasimha in Telugu) has got another release date and this time the film will be hitting screens on April 11th. Being India's first 3D motion capture movie, the post production of the Kochadaiiyaan is taking loads of time and so the release of the movie is getting delayed.

Deepika Padukone is pairing with Rajinikanth and his daughter Soundarya Rajinikanth is directing the film. AR Rahman is composing music and Eros International is producing the movie with a budget of Rupees 125 crores.

She will not stop there. In December, she will don more jewelery to play Rajinikanth's Kochadaiiyaan princess. From a party girl to desi princess, Deepika Padukone earned a very pretty spot at the top of the numbers game. She was recently considered to play Powerstar Pawan Kalyan's romantic interest in Gabbar Singh 2. Alas, her consecutive hits ensured remuneration raised along with the popularity.

Recently, she is also rumored to have declined a role opposite Shahid Kapoor for unknown reasons, leaving the actor dejected. If Hrithik Roshan's Krrish 3 is giving nightmares to Tollywood stars, Deepika is also emerging as a strong competitor. Nagarjuna preponed Bhai to avoid a clash with Krrish 3 this Diwali. Looking at the rushes of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Ram Leela, we would all agree that Deepika is the best thing about the whole splash of colour and emotions. That is why, news of the film’s makers editing some of the ‘interesting’ scenes for communal sentiments comes as a bummer.

 When Deepika Padukone decided to attend a garba night in Ahmedabad to pomote her film "Ram Leela" and soak up some festive fun, little did she know what waited her there.

The actress, who was expecting a warm welcome, got the biggest shock of her life when she was greeted by a mob of angry protestors instead, waiting to pelt her with eggs and tomatoes, an attack she narrowly escaped.

According to a leading national daily, a group of protestors arrived at the venue to protest against “Ram-Leela.”

Just before they could pelt eggs and tomatoes at the actress, they learnt that the filmmakers have agreed to edit the controversial content from the film.

“It seems the protestors, allegedly from the Jadeja and the Rabari community, were seething with anger due to some portions of the film and were ready to attack the actress and organizers of the garba event. However, they were informed that director Sanjay Leela Bhansali has decided to edit those portions and has spoken to community leaders about the same. Thus peace prevailed.” reported TOI.

Not minding the possible embarrassment, Deepika Padukone went on to enjoy the singing and dancing like there is no tomorrow. The garba night turned out be quite fun at the end. Hopefully, Ramleela allows us to have some fun too. What say guys?
